TULSA AIDS WALK

WHEN: Saturday, October 1, 2011
Registration: 9 a.m.
Walk kicks off at 9:30 a.m.

WHERE:Centennial Park at 6th and Peoria

WHO: All are welcome at the walk, including children in strollers and dogs on leashes.

Walkers are encouraged to raise or make a donation of $20. Donation not required.

WALK FUNDRAISING GOAL: $15,000

WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO?

Proceeds from the Tulsa AIDS Walk benefit Tulsa Community AIDS Partnership (TCAP), a program of the Community Service Council. TCAP provides funding for the National AIDS Fund AmeriCorps Team Tulsa and local AIDS service organizations. The five- member AmeriCorps team spends a year of service working in care and prevention at agencies in Tulsa including Tulsa CARES, H.O.P.E., Planned Parenthood, Youth Services of Tulsa, etc.

The 18th AmeriCorps team begins their year of service in Tulsa on August 15th, 2011.
